Statistics Canada released a report today that shows that the average 50 year old worker in 2008 can expect to work 3.5 years longer than his counterpart did in the mid 1990s.
In fact older workers have been consistently delaying their retirement since that time.
This does not mean though that you have a shorter retirement to plan for - Canadians are spending more years in retirement as our life-expectancy increasing.
